Privacy Policy — Archery Scorer

Archery Scorer is built to work on your device. Your scores never leave it. One optional feature (Wind) can use the internet, but only when you choose to turn it on.

What the app stores

All scores, round history, archer names, sight marks, and training-journal notes you enter are stored only in local storage on your device. This data is never transmitted, sold, or shared, and deleting the app permanently erases all of it. The app has:

• No user accounts or sign-in
• No analytics or telemetry of any kind
• No advertising and no ad SDKs
• No third-party tracking SDKs

Backup & restore

If you use Export backup, the app gathers your on-device data into a single file and hands it to iOS so you can save or send it wherever you choose (Files, AirDrop, email, etc.). The file is created on your device and is shared only by your own action — the app does not upload it anywhere or send it to us. Restore reads a backup file you select and writes it back to local storage on your device.

Optional feature that uses a permission

Wind (optional). If you tap “Enable” on the Wind tool, the app reads your device location and sends your approximate coordinates to a third-party weather service, Open-Meteo, to look up the current local wind speed and direction. These coordinates are used only to return weather for your location — we do not store them, attach them to any identity, or use them for tracking or advertising. The app also reads your device compass to rotate the on-screen wind arrow; that stays on the device. The Wind tool disables itself automatically when there is no internet connection. If you never enable it, the app makes no network requests.

Location permission is requested only when you first use the Wind feature, and you can decline or revoke it in iOS Settings at any time.

Children's privacy

The app has no accounts and collects no personal information. The optional Wind feature's location request is used only to fetch local weather and is not stored or linked to anyone.

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this page.
